Calling for a National boycott of all professional sports
All professional sports should be boycotted until the raids stop, the abuse stops and the concentration camps are closed
Each day I keep seeing people asking the same question in regards to what ICE is doing: What can we do??
No one knows.
Politicians are not going to stop this. It’s up to us.

I’ve seen suggestions from being hopeless, to waiting it out to civil war. I also see people that are ready to do something, anything that will help stop this but there is little organization or cohesion and again, no one knows.
It occurred to me that we — all of us — can all do something together and it’s so goddamn simple it’s almost mind boggling. It’s something that would not cause people to risk going to jail or cost them their livelihood either, which are top concerns for people wanting to get involved but not risk anything.
It doesn’t require you ‘going to war’ either because frankly, people aren’t ready for that yet.
No, the solution is much simpler and easy to achieve by any and all concerned about this and by all accounts, there are many. It takes literally zero effort and will definitely send a message.
I am talking about a movement that would see the national boycott of all professional sports until these raids stop and until the concentration camps are closed.
That’s it. It’s really that simple.
I honestly don’t think people fully realize the immense power that boycotts have on a large enough scale. People talk about them a lot but it’s usually fragmented. Well, sports is national and tied to literally everything corporate.
Imagine for a moment if this coming NFL season, if every single stadium were empty. Just think about that for a moment.
Imagine if TV ratings for games dropped to zero. Imagine if none of these billionaire cocksuckers sold a a single ticket or if any corporate sponsors sold any beer.
Imagine if no one watched the ads or bought the merch.
That’s power.
Shit, imagine if this really caught on and you had players join in the boycott and if they refused to play.
Muhammad Ali risking prison to protest the Vietnam war comes to mind.
We have power, people just don’t realize it.
And yes, a national sports boycott would certainly put a dent in their capitalistic little hearts far and wide. It would make people take notice nationally and it would definitely fuck up the “normally scheduled program.”
Since this country only seems to listen to billionaires, fine. Let them take a hit in their portfolios and then watch them plead for a resolution.
I guarantee you if these fuckers lose enough money on a long enough timeline things will change.
People want action, they want a plan. Ok, done. This is a plan. This is doable!
People want something that they can actually do without risking their lives, well, this is it, folks.
It takes zero effort to not watch sports1.
It takes zero effort to not spend money on sports, or go to not attend games or to not buy their merch or to not spend money on their food and booze. None.
In fact, you might argue that these things are even beneficial. Imagine the time and money you would save while supporting a worthy cause. Win/win.
It couldn’t be easier, it just needs a national campaign and some organization.
The trouble with this plan is that I have little faith that this would catch on without endorsement from someone huge and likely several big name people at that.
But it’s an idea. It’s marinating. It’s out there.
We have achieved things the grassroots way before and this is something that is totally doable if people commit.
I imagine there will be a significant portion of the population that will groan and whine and who want to “keep politics out of sports.” Well, fuck those people. They need to see the bigger picture.
I sincerely believe that if we keep the pressure on and rally enough people to boycott ALL professional sports, They will have no choice but to take notice and to start a real conversation on how to end this shit.
Money talks! It’s the only thing that does and WE can touch that money.
We demand the cessation of all raids.
We demand the intimidate restoration of habeas corpus.
We demand the end of racial profiling.
We demand the release of all those detained.
We demand the humane treatment of our people.
We demand the abolishment of ICE.
We demand accountability of justice for violation of humans rights.
We demand justice for ALL.
We demand a national civil lawsuit for the violation and abuse of human rights.
We demand an end to the military occupation of our cities.
We demand to be treated as human beings.
This is a start.
I am not an attorney and my reach is limited. This movement needs to be started the same way a wildfire starts. The spark needs to be curated and the fires maintained.
Right now there is a loose boycott of the L.A. Dodgers. Truth be told, Dodger stadium should be empty the rest of the season. That it’s not is troubling but I am encouraged by seeing national figures join the boycott. We need more.
Every MLB stadium in the country should be empty right now. Not a single hot dog or beer should be sold. No one should be patronizing these businesses or supporting any of these billionaires until this all stops, period.
If that takes years, so be it. But it won’t take that long because the potential for change with this kind of boycott is huge.
People simply do not yet understand the tremendous economic power we wield as consumers. But they will.
People are also far too subservient to corporate entertainment as an “escape” from reality. That is over with.
There is no more escaping this. This is our reality now. You are either OK with concentration camps or you are not. Either way, we are not going away.
Boycott all national sports until this stops! Pass the wire. Let’s get the right people involved and push this all the way to the top. Each one teach one.
The movement needs a name, and an identifiable logo etc. I give this to the community to come together and help put this all in motion. I am keeping this post open.
¡Ya basta! It’s time.
In solidarity.

I should note that I am a diehard and lifelong sports fan. I watch hockey and football almost religiously and would give it all up for good if it meant this would end the abuse. Professional sports is not the same as it used to be anyway; it’s been corrupted beyond salvaging. That much should be clear. It would be no loss to do away with it or simply ignore it.
You can count on me!
Support your local t-ball, peewee and little leagues. The money you once flushed away to billionaires and millionaires would make a HUGE difference in the playgrounds and parks of the planet, and wearing the kid’s team jersey around town REALLY makes a difference in kid’s lives.
We have so much power! I hope this takes off.
